Making Your Joack-o-lantern with the kids
Well, this weekend we make our Jack-o-lanterns. What fun we had! I had forgotten how creative you could get with your pumpkin. The boys picked out some good sized pumpkins, and we brought them to grandma's house to carve and decorate. My mother had some cool decorations around the house. We used pom-poms, pipe cleaners, stickers, glitter, and paint. Of course, I got stuck cleaning out the pulp, it's kind of a yucky feeling substance and neither son would do it. But that in itself brought laughter to us all. We discussed our themes as we decorated our Jack-o-lanterns. My dad cut out the eyes, mouths, and noses. And grandma justed watched and talked. It was a great opportunity for all of us to be together. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. The Jack-o-lanterns came out really great, we were all amazed at how good they looked. I will add pics later today. Anyway, enjoy your holiday with your family, and be safe!
