Storm Safety By Christian Aufiero

In case a nasty thunderstorm rolls by and devours your house, here are some tips on how to keep your life.

During a thunderstorm, don't talk on telephones because if lightning strikes a power line, you can get electrocuted.

Never take a bath or shower during a thunderstorm. Lightning can travel through the shower water.

If your outside, run to a sturdy shelter. If none are available, duck down in a place where your not the tallest object in the area and cover your hands with your head.

Never take shelter under a tree. You can get electrocuted.

If in the event of a tornado, get you and your family in a basement or sturdy shelter like a closet or bathtub, and stay away from windows.

If unable to reach shelter, run to a ditch away from power lines and duck.

After a disaster, stay away from power lines on the ground. They can still explode.

These tips should keep you and your family safe in a disaster.
